For the second time, other German research institutions such as the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AVH) and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) joined in the New Year's Reception of TUM San Francisco and the DAAD, and together welcomed more than 230 guests.
How quickly the event has established itself as a popular get-together for TUM Alumni in the Bay Area shows how much TUM graduates value the close connection with their alma mater.
"We are delighted to welcome more and more alumni to this networking event every year," said Dr. Dolores Volkert, Liaison Officer of TUM San Francisco since 2015.
"This reception creates an ever closer network for TUM in the Bay Area and a constantly growing exchange with industry and science in the region. We are delighted to see that our office acts as a connecting element promoting transnational exchange between top scientists and at the same time bringing the widely scattered members of the TUM family closer together."
