Where are you headed – and how long do you want to stay? The Global & Alumni Office offers different programs allowing you to study at international partner universities for periods ranging from one week to two semesters.
With Erasmus+, you can study for up to two semesters at a partner university within the EU. You don't have to pay study fees at the partner university and you will get additional financial support.
If you want to study outside the European Union, TUMexchange is the right program for you. The application process starts at the beginning of the winter semester.
The Swiss-European Mobility Programme offers a three- to twelve-month stay at a Swiss partner university. Learn more about funding options, deadlines, and requirements.
Taster week abroad: Through the ATHENS program you can stay at one of 24 partner universities within Europe for one week. Applications are possible twice a year.
Through a joint course catalogue, TUM students can participate in virtual courses at the partner universities DTU, TU/e, L'X, TalTech, CTU, and Technion – and at TUM itself.
TUM Global & Alumni Office offers various scholarship programs for stays abroad and internships. Moreover, we can inform you about external offers, such as the programs of the DAAD.
Some TUM Schools and departments offer additional funding opportunities to those provided by the Global & Alumni Office. Inform yourself here about the options for your area of studies.
Besides the programs offered by TUM G&A, you can also organize a stay abroad by yourself. Those freemover stays may be registered in your Diploma Supplement as well. Find out about the requirements.
