In addition to two students who reported on their experiences abroad, Axel Gumann from the TUM Global & Alumni Office was also a guest to present the various opportunities for TUM students. The Program Manager for TUMExchange described the different programs and funding opportunities in detail and also answered questions about studying abroad in times of Corona.
Unanimous tenor of the students: A semester abroad is invaluable
Max, who is currently in his seventh semester of Engineering Science and was at NTU in Singapore via TUMexchange, says: "Without a doubt, it was the right decision. Before [my semester abroad], I had two years of pure studying. Our degree is quite intense, so you don't do much besides actually sitting and studying. So being able to take that break, experience some new things, meet new people... that was really, truly amazing. And yeah, I'd do it again if I could."
