TUM offers for international guest researchers
TUM offers international visiting researchers a wide range of services to make their stay easier. These include support with accommodation, health services, offers for work-life balance, language courses, psychological counseling, as well as various leisure and sports activities.
The TUM Accommodation Service supports international postdoctoral researchers as well as visiting professors in finding suitable accommodation in Munich and Garching. Please note that, due to limited capacity and the low availability of short-term housing options, active assistance cannot be provided for stays of less than six months. The TUM company doctors are available to support you with all matters related to health and safety in the workplace. Their primary objective is to promote and maintain the physical, mental, and social well-being of employees. They provide guidance to help minimize risks associated with unfavorable working conditions or the handling of hazardous substances and biological materials.
The TUM Staff Unit Diversity & Inclusion offers confidential advice and support in various areas:
- TUM Compliance Office: Assistance with questions regarding good scientific practice and in cases of suspected scientific misconduct.

- TUM Equal Opportunity: The contact point for cases of discrimination, sexual harassment, or bullying in the workplace. In urgent situations, psychological support is also available.

The TUM University Library offers an extensive collection of (e-)media and also provides guided tours and training sessions.
