TUM welcomes record-breaking number of exchange students for the summer semester of 2025
TUM Global, News |

During the official welcome session for international exchange students on the main campus on April 15, Prof. Dr. Juliane Winkelmann, Senior Vice President for International Alliances & Alumni, greeted the new arrivals at TUM. In her address, she emphasized the importance of global academic exchange:
“An international academic experience is key to equip students with the personal and professional skills to address today’s and tomorrow’s major global challenges. It’s a pleasure to welcome these exchange students from all over the globe who bring new perspectives to our classrooms and enrich TUM’s international campus life.”
Orientation and support from day one

To help incoming students settle in, the TUM Global & Alumni Office – in collaboration with the student-run organization ESN TUMi e.V. – offers a wide-ranging orientation program during the first weeks of April.
These efforts extend throughout the semester, providing ongoing support and opportunities for exchange students to connect with local peers through various events, cultural activities, and mentoring programs.
