At the kick-off event, PREP students met their project supervisors and buddies for the first time. The supervisors were very pleased with the top profiles of this year’s interns coming from universities such as Carnegie Mellon, Harvard, New York University, and the University of British Columbia.
The PREP participants will work on their methodological and practical skills during their at least ten-week research projects in almost every discipline offered at TUM. The projects range from sports and health sciences or medicine to engineering, informatics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, and management.
Besides their objective to gain a better insight into TUM’s research culture, PREP students will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy summer in and around Munich. At the kick-off it turned out that some students had already made themselves familiar with Munich and its beautiful surroundings. With the help of their buddies, their supervisors, and a comprehensive cultural program during orientation week, PREP students will be well equipped to immerse themselves in the local culture.
We are looking forward to the outcome of their research projects in August and wish all PREP participants 2018 an inspiring and exciting time at TUM.
