A picture is worth a thousand words. The TUM Global & Alumni Office holds an annual photo competition on varying subjects, e.g. Campus life abroad, My Minga – Munich on my mind or Go East. The winning photos are always featured in the TUM Global & Alumni Office photo calendar.
The popular photo competition organized by the TUM Global & Alumni Office now happens on a monthly rather than an annual basis. You can now send us your favorite pictures of your stay abroad anytime. The best images are rewarded at the end of every month, shared via TUM's social media channels, and will be part of the online vote for inclusion in our annual photo calendar.
Your possibilities are in principle unlimited. A good example would be a special moment which enriched your stay abroad in a profound way. Maybe you met some inspiring people or encountered an eye-opening scene or situation. Our aim is to show as many facets of academic stays abroad as possible. Therefore, it would be particularly desirable if your picture was connected to your area of studies, e.g.:
- Biodiversity and Land Tenure
- Cultural Heritage and History
- Innovative Energy Supply and Infrastructure Projects
- Urban and Rural Mobility
- Mechatronics, Information Technology, and Robotics
- Sports and Health
- City Planning and Landscape Architecture
All TUM students and staff are welcome to participate. This includes all international visiting students and researchers.
Send your photos to Fotowettbewerb@zv.tum.de
- Landscape format
- Resolution of 300dpi
- Preferably jpg or tif
When sending your picture please also fill in this registration form.
Please note the Legal Regulations (PDF, 71 KB) for the participation in the photo competition of TUM Global & Alumni Office.
After pre-selection by a TUM-internal jury, all TUM students and employees can vote for their favorites online. The link to the online-voting platform will be published on this site at the beginning of August.
The thirteen best pictures – twelve calendar sheets plus cover – will be published on TUM social media and in the 2020 TUM Global & Alumni Office Photo Calendar. In a print run of 3,500 pieces, the calendar will be distributed both internally at TUM and sent to all partner universities worldwide. The winners will receive vouchers for a media / photo store.
