Studying abroad via departmental partnerships

In addition to the exchange programs and funding opportunities provided by the TUM Global & Alumni Office, individual TUM schools and departments maintain their own partnerships. Selection, nomination, and program execution for the respective programs is managed directly by the relevant school or department in this case. For further information, please contact the International Affairs Delegate of your TUM school or department.

As a participant in a departmental program, you must complete the following steps:

  • Registration of your stay within the scope of a departmental partnership in MoveOn via the online form “Outgoing – Registration other mobilities (freemover and other programs”)  within the scope of program execution at your TUM Department (please select “Departmental Program” from the menu item “Framework”): https://tum.moveon4.de/locallogin/55a61be83e5d66c276000002/eng
  • You must submit a Confirmation of Stay confirming the duration of the stay to the International Affairs Delegate of your TUM school or department or the Program Coordinator of the departmental partnership. (The International Affairs Delegate of your department will automatically inform the International Center about your participation in the program and receipt of the confirmation.)
  • The International Center will arrange for the automatic inclusion of the details of your stay in the diploma supplement (currently once a year in August/September; stays completed during the previous academic year will be included in the diploma supplement from October onwards).
