TUM wants to enable as many students as possible to gain valuable international experience during their education. The Global & Alumni Office offers various programs through which you can spend one or two semesters at an international university as part of your studies.

Information platform of the EU Commission: How to plan your travels within the EU
The European Commission has launched the web platform Re-open EU to support a safe relaunch of travelling and tourism across Europe.
Through Erasmus+, you have the opportunity to study within Europe for up to two semesters. You don't have to pay study fees at the partner university and you will get additional financial support.
If you are interested in a stay outside of Europe, TUMexchange is the right program for you. The application process starts at the beginning of the winter semester.
The Swiss-European Mobility Programme offers a three- to twelve-month stay at a Swiss partner university. Learn more about funding options, deadlines, and requirements.
Taster week abroad: Through the ATHENS program you can stay at one of 24 partner universities within Europe for one week. Applications are possible twice a year.
TUM Global & Alumni Office offers various scholarship programs for stays abroad and internships. Moreover, we can inform you about external offers, such as the programs of the DAAD.
TUM offers an additional funding opportunity via Erasmus which focuses on personal and socio-economic criteria, so students with limited finances also have the chance to enjoy a stay abroad.

Besides the programs offered by the G&A Office, you can also organize a stay abroad by yourself. Those freemover stays may be registered in your Diploma Supplement as well. Find out about the requirements.
Double degree programs with partner universities offer you the opportunity to study abroad and acquire a second degree in addition to your TUM degree.
