TUM Alumni and friends from across North America and around the world are invited to meet with TUM Ambassador Professor Polly Arnold from UC Berkeley to hear about her research interests and discuss questions of diversity and equality in STEM fields.

Currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at UC Berkeley and the Director of the Division of Chemical Sciences at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Polly Arnold studied chemistry at Oxford University and the University of Sussex, with postdoctoral studies at MIT as a Fulbright fellow. Previously, she held the Crum Brown Chair of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh, and became a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2012, the same year she received the Rosalind Franklin Award. She received an OBE in 2017 for her contributions to chemistry and the promotion of women in STEM.
