Juliane Winkelmann, TUM Senior Vice President for International Alliances and Alumni, welcomed the delegation at the main campus. As part of the dialog, Ambassador Oegroseno emphasized the importance of education for Indonesia and stated that Germany is increasingly becoming the first choice for Indonesian students when it comes to obtaining a university degree in Europe.
Prof. Dr. Winkelmann expressed the aspiration to build more collaboration with Indonesia as part of the TUM’s engagement in the Global South. TUM sees Indonesia as an ambitious and future-oriented partner, for instance through the partnership with the Institut Teknologi Bandung in the TUM SEED Network.
