TUM Brussels: Second session of the European Talent Academy 2024 at Politecnico di Milano

During this ETA session in Milan, researchers from the three partner universities collaborated in interactive workshops on innovative project ideas to tackle numerous problems relating to a sustainable way of life. 

The focus was primarily on teaching practical aspects that the ETA Fellows may use to plan and implement projects as efficiently and effectively as possible. For example, participants received practical tips on writing proposals, persuasive writing, and training on disseminating and impacting research results.

This in-person event also allowed the ETA fellows to learn more about PoliMi and to visit the laboratories at the different campuses. Of course, the participants also took the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues and expand their international network. 

The next steps until the closing event at TUM

Following the meeting in Milan, the participants will continue to work on their projects under the guidance of the ETA trainers. The next steps include refining their project proposals and sourcing potential funding opportunities. There will be a virtual follow-up meeting to review progress and provide additional support, ensuring that the projects can transition from concept to reality.

The next face-to-face event will take place in Munich from October 22 to 24, as part of the final event of this year's cohort hosted by TUM. Here, the participants will present their ideas for research proposals. At the same time, this session will also include training in public engagement and personal visibility.
