The Global Summer School in Shenzhen brought together talents from leading institutions worldwide for interdisciplinary learning and intercultural exchange. Participants in this unique summer program have the opportunity to explore new scientific territory and develop innovative thinking together with Tsinghua SIGS faculty and students.
They also get the chance to visit high-tech companies in Shenzhen, experience the scenic beauty of the Greater Bay Area, and learn more about Chinese history and culture. TUM was represented by students as well as Prof. Frank Petzold from the Chair of Architectural Informatics and two of his doctoral students, who offered courses on site.
Continuing to shape the future together
Since signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a flagship partnership in October 2020, TUM and Tsinghua University have continuously advanced cooperation in key areas such as entrepreneurship, lifelong learning, joint research, and education.
In the future, the two universities are planning new event formats to connect researchers in areas of common interest and further strengthen their cooperation – especially on the topic of sustainable habitats.
