The virtual German Research Week event was divided into three parts: During the whole week, the participating students and scholars could watch pre-recorded video presentations from each institution on the Gotostage online platform.
In addition, on April 21, representatives from China Scholarship Council and German professors and alumni presented information on doing a doctorate in Germany and scholarship opportunities and exchanged experiences through a live broadcast. On April 22, each participating institution offered online consultation sessions.
Huge interest at TUM presentation
With a share of 19%, Chinese doctoral students represent the largest group among foreign doctoral students at TUM. As usual, TUM also received a lot of attention during the event: On April 22 alone, about 90 Chinese students attended the TUM Beijing information session entitled Doing a doctorate at TUM.
TUM Beijing Liaison Officer Zhenshan Jin is already looking forward to the next information event. Interested students and doctoral candidates are welcome to contact her for any questions about research opportunities at TUM or with Chinese partners.
