The Alumni Salon opened with a short speech by TUM Beijing liaison officer Zhenshan Jin, in which she illustrated the development of TUM and introduced the TUM Agenda 2030. Afterwards, TUM Ambassador Professor Weidong Qu presented his research on the China's real estate market to the participants, which is currently the most hotly discussed topic in China.

In the second half of the event, the participants discussed the registration of a TUM alumni association in China in order to facilitate further interaction within TUM’s diverse alumni community. This discussion resulted in the formation of a working group to pursue the establishment of a prospective alumni association.

Zhenshan Jin expressed her satisfaction after the event: "The Alumni Salon brings together alumni from different fields of work and different stages of life, and enables an intensive and interdisciplinary exchange of opinions.”

The next Alumni Salon is planned for 2022.
