Winter School 2025 at Tsinghua University: Shaping the smart cities of the future together

Think globally, act sustainably: From December 8 to 14, 2025, TUM, TUM Asia, and Tsinghua University are hosting the Winter School 2025 in Beijing. The program focuses on Smart Sustainable Cities and Transportation – the sustainable and intelligent design of urban living spaces for the future. Applications are open until November 15, 2025.

The Winter School not only offers advanced academic training but also provides the opportunity to gain international perspectives, work interdisciplinarily, and establish valuable connections with students and researchers from around the world.

Participants will gain exciting insights into current research and practical applications through 13 compact training sessions, delivered by leading professors and experts from Munich, Singapore, and Beijing.

  • Smart and green city growth
  • Use of geospatial data and geoinformatics to plan and manage smart city development and organize the transport system
  • Usage of big data analytics and artificial intelligence,
  • Usage if drones and robots in city and transport planning and management
  • Smart Railway systems and integration of public transport modes

All courses are conducted in English, and participation is free of charge.
