TUMi offers you a wide range of events. Join us during the Orientation Weeks before the semester begins to receive support with starting out at TUM. The TUMi program will then continue throughout the lecture period.
In the TUMi-Calendar, you can find all dates and events at a glance.
Are you coming to Munich for the first time and keen to find out what you need to look out for? Would you like to get to know Munich and your fellow students? If so, the orientation weeks have just the right events for you!
They are held at the beginning of each semester and aimed at all exchange students. Participation in the Orientation Weeks is not compulsory. Simply register for the events you are interested in.
Registration for the events of the orientation weeks will only start towards the end of September (winter semester) or end of March (summer semester) and only after the events have been published in the TUMi calendar. A preliminary version of the program of the orientation weeks of the summer semester 2019 is now available here (details may be subject to change).

Registration for TUMi events is very simple.
Events without a participation fee (e.g. campus tour in orientation weeks): You register online in TUMi calendar.
Events with a particpation fee (e.g. excursion): You simply come to our office during office hours and pay for your participation.
How do I know how much an event costs? This will be mentioned in the event description in our Calendar.
We only accept cash for payments.
As the number of participants in each event is limited, the “first come, first serve” principle applies.
Often, places are left the week before an event. If you are very keen on attending the event, please drop by at our office the week before (ideally the Friday before an event on a weekend).
Participation in all TUMi events is voluntary. Legal liability provisions apply. Accident coverage through the Bayerische Landesunfallkasse is therefore not provided.
You may withdraw your confirmation of participation in an event until the last Monday before the event in question only. If you would like to withdraw at a later stage, please find somebody to replace you. Different registration rules may apply for events involving an overnight stay.
Reimbursement of your attendance fee in the event of illness will only be provided if you submit a doctor's certificate within two weeks.
As many events are subsidized by TUM, participation is limited to TUM students only.
TUMi reserves the right to use event photos for internal purposes (showcase, website, fliers, etc.). Please let us know if you have any objections.
Discover the culinary variety of the world during the TUMi Länderabend!
Every other Monday from 7 pm, you are invited to the TUMi Länderabend at KHG (Karlstraße 32, 80333 München). Every Länderabend is organized by students from a different country or region.
The Länderabend also serves as a meeting point for international and German students alike.
Entry is free and registration is not required.
For details, please check our TUMi-Calendar.
Do you want to host a Länderabend and present the cuisine of your country? Write to email@example.com.
The TalkTUM[i:] Language Café provides an opportunity to speak foreign languages and meet other students. It also allows international students to improve their German in an informal setting over free coffee and cake!
We are always looking for native speakers who are interested in presenting their own language and moderating a table. If you are interested, please e-mail us at: firstname.lastname@example.org (Munich City Campus, Weihenstephan) or email@example.com (Garching).
