No single university or country can master today’s science and research challenges on its own. TUM works closely with around 170 partner universities and participates in various international networks. The university has established a permanent presence in Asia through its affiliate, the German Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) – TUM Asia, and maintains direct dialog with top universities and businesses on the CREATE campus in Singapore. TUM is the only German university to join other top-class universities in the Special Partnership Program created by the new, ambitious King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. TUM is also one of the EuroTech Universities, an alliance that takes academic collaboration to the next level. The initiative brings together leading institutions to develop joint research strategies addressing the megatrends of tomorrow.
