About TUM International Center

TUM International Center (TUM IC) is the key point of contact for students, staff, and researchers regarding international exchange and partnerships. Through diverse programs for stays abroad, it offers the chance for study stays and teaching stints as well as advanced training and internships in the whole world. The TUM IC also supports students, staff, and researchers of partner institutions during their stay at TUM.

The International Center team members possess specific regional expertise and offer competent and tailor-made advice for both the preparation and the outgoing phases, as well as co-operation agreements. Made-to-measure orientation programs for international students, staff, and researchers of our partner institutions make sure our guests have a smooth start and successful stay at TUM.

TUM IC stays in close contact with all partner institutions and continuously expands its worldwide network of excellent universities. Bolstered through Liaison Offices on five continents, the TUM International Center broadens the global presence of TUM and enhances awareness of the university abroad.

With its broad know-how in the fields of international exchange and partnerships, the TUM IC promotes and connects all players who contribute to the internationalization of TUM. It fosters and encourages intercultural competence, tolerance, and open-mindedness, as well as personal and professional development, and thereby sets new impulses – for the individual, at TUM, and worldwide.
